So, there's been several songs I seem to have on repeat lately. None of these are actually NEW songs, and some of them aren't even new to me, but they really resonate with me right now. I linked up videos of each song in the titles.
"Philadelphia" by Parachute has been played at least three times a day for the past three weeks now. It's so beautiful. All seven minutes of it. (I know, it's a really long song.) I love how it builds towards the end. The bridge is what makes me play it so frequently, though. "She thought that love was gonna fight. She thought that love was gonna take her whole. She thought that love was gonna save her, but love just never showed."
Anyways, I can't seem to overplay this song, even though I've been playing it multiple times a day for weeks now.
"All We Are" by OneRepublic is my new obsession. I've only been playing it the past few days now, but very frequently. It gets stuck in my head, and then I feel the need to play it again. It's catchy, deep, and so well done. This is an older OneRepublic song, but I really think it's one of their very best. "We won't say our goodbyes. You know it's better that way. We won't break. We won't die. It's just a moment of change. All we are, all we are, is everything that's right."
"All Fall Down" by OneRepublic was brought to my attention in the midst of my "All We Are" obsession, and has become equally played. I love the instrumentals at the beginning. I love the lyrics and meaning. This song is extremely catchy as well. "Lost til' you're found. Swim til' you drown. Know that we all fall down. Love til' you hate. Strong til' you break. Know that we all fall down." "Whenever your will starts crashing down, that's when you'll find me." This song is amazing. I really, really love it.
"Rainy Zurich" by The Fray is also one of my most frequently played songs right now. I played it eighteen times a few days ago. That's ridiculous. But it hooks you. I don't have much to say about this one, except for that it's a really great song. "I'll keep you warm, dancing in a downpour." "You are what I never knew I needed."
I strongly recommend that you take a listen to all of these songs. The OneRepublic ones are definitely my very favorite at the moment. Enjoy!
