It's pop! It's rock! It's rap! What? No. It's The Script!
The Script just released their third album, "#3", and yes that is the title. It's great. No other band can really pull off the genre that The Script has created for themselves. They rap. But at the same time, it's pop/rock. They pretty much do whatever they want, and it totally works for them. "#3" is an album filled with songs of depth, fun, meaning, and you might catch yourself singing along passionately after a couple of listens.
I really struggle to pick a favorite, so i'll name a few. "Six Degrees Of Separation", "Broken Arrow", "Kaleidoscope", "If You Could See Me Now," and "Glowing". "If You Could See Me Now" is chilling, and "Six Degrees Of Separation" is a song that absolutely everyone can relate to. "Kaleidoscope" makes me dance around and attempt to sing in the same key Danny does. And I fail consistently with every attempt. It's completely different from any other song on the album, and that makes it really stand out. "Broken Arrow" has some lyrics that really hit home for me, and that's why it's one of my favorites.
All in all, I am thoroughly impressed by "#3". This Irish band knows how to make great music, and I look forward to seeing where their success leads them.
4.8/5 Stars!
